The Maryland State Grange has announced two college scholarships available for the 2022-2023 academic year. Students may apply for the Agriculture Scholarship or the Deaf Studies Scholarship. High school seniors and current college students may apply.
The Deaf Studies Scholarship will be awarded to hearing-impaired students or those studying in the hearing-impaired field. Students studying any area of agriculture may apply for the Agriculture Scholarship. Applicants do not need to be Maryland State Grange or Calvert Grange members. Founded in 1874, the Maryland State Grange is comprised of individual community Granges located throughout Maryland. These community Granges raise funds for scholarships each year. The Maryland State Grange is part of the National Grange, headquartered in Washington, D.C. The National Grange was founded in 1867 and is the nation's oldest fraternal farm organization.
